Manley Kids

What is “Manley Kids?”

We aim to supplement the family in reaching our kids, pursuing the maximum potential of our kids and our families to develop disciples who love God, love people, make disciples and who will change the world.  We believe that your kids will change the world!!  In believing that, we are dedicated to a high level of ministry, and having a safe, kid-friendly atmosphere.  We will teach Biblical truth, build and cultivate relationships that will help transfer faith and get children “in” on God’s great plan to reach the world with the Gospel.  We want our children to know Jesus and grow up to be like Him and have a ton of fun in the process!!

You may contact our Children’s Pastor, Andy Ellis, at 423-586-8665, ext 227 or  send an e-mail via our Contact Us form to submit any questions. Join us on Facebook and Twitter so we can follow you too!

puggles-main  Awanas-preschool

In Puggles, toddlers are welcomed each week with play time, songs and simple crafts and activities. Leaders present age-appropriate lessons using large, colorful teaching cards, finger puppet plays and more. Lessons teach and reinforce four basic biblical precepts:  God Made Everything,  God Saw That It Was Good, God is Love, and  Give Thanks.

Preschoolers ages 3-5 can hardly wait for their next Cubbies Club meeting! Whether it’s the fun puppets, the exciting games, or all their “Cubbie” friends, they simply love it. At Story Time each week, preschoolers learn about God- the greatness of His love and His Word- and about His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Savior. Cubbies helps lead your child to God early so he/she will respect and trust Him for life.

Elementary Aged students have a new program rolling out! Life in 3-D  where we will focus on how Jesus gives us life in 3-D and how that changes our lives and the way we live!  We will have fun games, surprises, large group times packed with teaching and illustrations and  small groups to widen the circle of influence and give our children a place to connect and belong.  All kids are welcome and if you miss it, you’re missing out!

Disability Ministry

We would love for you to visit Manley with your child who has special needs.  To care for them most effectively, it is helpful for us to have an idea what their needs are so we can be prepared for them. Please contact the Disability Ministry Coordinator, Melissa Crabtree, via our Contact Us form (select Disability Ministry) to submit any questions. Or call Wanda Rannow at 423 586 8665, ext 202 and she will put you in touch with Melissa.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, sends Christmas boxes full of toys, necessities, candy and most importantly: the gospel to children all over the world. From their website, “Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.”

OCC_logoShoebox Collection Deadline at Manley: November 17

Here are a few ideas to help this ministry come to life for your child:

  • Take a few minutes to watch the movie above with your children.
  • Choose to pack a box for children the same age as yours so it makes it easy for your child to be involved in the shopping experience.
  • Choose to pack a box for the oldest age group.  This group gets less than 25 of the other age groups.
  • Click here for two printables that are really fun to include in your box or write a letter to include. The receiver of your gift might write back!
  • See how you can Follow Your Box HERE so you know where it ends up! (They walk you through the process of donating shipping cost online and print the label with your individual bar code that gets scanned at the OCC facility on packing day.)
  • See all the directions and packing ideas here. (Do not use these labels if you are going to Follow Your Box.)
  • See Operation Christmas Child’s Family Resources here.
  • Check out this book to read with your kids. It’s about boxes like this sent from America to Holland during WWII.
  • Get a box at church, use a shoebox from your home or buy a clear plastic shoebox (which is really useful for the receiver after they receive their gifts).
